New Tool from the EFC

Knowing the current and future financial status of your water system is an integral part of responsible management and of the highest importance to leaving the system in better condition for the next generation.

The Environmental Finance Center’s Financial Dashboard will give a clear and powerful picture of how the system is currently performing, areas of improvement and what the future outlook is. After inputting information for each of the dashboards, you will be given a fully interactive tool that will allow for a limitless number of different scenarios.

Energy Star

ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.

Results are already adding up. Americans, whith the help of ENERGY STAR, saved enough energy in 2008 alone to avoid greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from 29 million cars - all while saving $19 billion on their utility bills.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is an unprecedented effort to jumpstart our economy, save and create millions of jobs, and put a down payment on addressing long-neglected challenges so our country can thrive in the 21^st century.

Boise State University is the site of the Environmental Finance Center (EFC) for US EPA Region 10. Our mission is to provide help to those facing the "how to pay" challenges of environmental protection. EFC-10 is committed to helping the regulated community build and improve the technical, managerial, and financial capabilities needed to comply with federal and state environmental protection laws. Boise State University opened the Satellite Office in October of 2007. The Region 7 Satellite EFC provides communities in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska with many of the services, tools and technical assistance that have been provided by the EFC in Region 10. How Training on Demand Works:

Step 1: Are you looking for training on environmental finance and management topics?

Step 2: Request training from EFC Training on Demand. Select your topic and submit date and time preferences.

Step 3: The EFC will respond to your request with selected date and time details and virtual classroom details.

Step 4: Others are invited by email to register for the training event.

Step 5: On the date and time of the training event, participants join the web conference.
