Program Description / Purpose: The Foundation's environmental program focuses on the protection and restoration of marine, coastal, forest and fresh water ecosystems. The Foundation reviews only invited proposals. Unsolicited requests are not reviewed. Foundation staff remain open to receiving information relevant to its programs, but will not normally acknowledge or respond to requests for support.
Program Requirements / Restrictions: Only non-profit organizations which are classified as public charities under Section 501 (c) (3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code or are Canadian organizations deemed equivalent by the Foundation are eligible.
