Program Description / Purpose: EPA is soliciting grant applications to assist school districts in their efforts to reduce pollution from diesel powered school buses through the use of EPA verified or certified, or California Air Resources Board (CARB) – verified, pollution reduction technology.
Legislative Authority: The statutory authority for this action is the Department of the Interior, Environment and Related Agencies Appropriations Act of 2006, H.R. 2361, which became Public Law 10954 on August 2, 2005.
